"Granada" is a song written by Mexican composer Agustín Lara in 1932. Most notably, it was covered by Frank Sinatra in 1961 with English lyrics. The track was released as part of Frank Sinatra's album Swing Along with Me. His version reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart and remained on the chart for eight weeks. "Granada" evokes the allure of the Spanish city of Granada, mixing traditional Spanish musical elements with the crooner's smooth vocal style. Musically, "Granada" features a dramatic arrangement typical of big band and orchestral music, which complements Frank Sinatra's powerful delivery. The lyrics describe the beauty and historical mystique of Granada, portraying it as a place of romantic intrigue and timeless charm. Over the years, the track has been covered by many other artists, including opera singers Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, and José Carreras. In 1997, it was established as the official anthem of the City of Granada.

Excellent instrumental rendition from Sinatra's Reprise album "Sinatra Swing Along With Me". Much less reverb (tunnel effect) than previous instrumentals than the ones taken from Sinatra's Capitol album "Swingin' Sessions an More" and Dean Martin's Capitol album "This Time I'm Swinging". We eagerly await "Moonlight in the Ganges" by Sinatra... Swingingly yours!
