Amy Lee of Evanescence fame is the voice behind this version of "Sally's Song" originally from The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. In the 1993 movie and Danny Elfman-composed soundtrack, the track is sung by Catherine O'Hara as the rag-doll character Sally Finklestein, now arguably as much a part of the collective Halloween season as pumpkins and trick-or-treating. Recorded for Walt Disney Records' 2008 covers compilation Nightmare Revisited, Amy Lee turns in a haunting, harp-infused lament of "Sally's Song," which was performed live with Tim McCord on bass and producer Will Hunt on drums for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in October 2008; the first time the classically trained musician used her harp on a song and live performance. Amy Lee was in fine company on the Nightmare Revisited album, joined by some of alternative music's biggest acts of the era, including Korn, The Polyphonic Spree, and The All-American Rejects.
