As the son of a famous Dutch folk artist, André Hazes Jr. has music running through his veins. He kickstarted his career via a pair of albums recorded with his sister Roxeanne Hazes Jr. before launching his solo career in 2014 with Mijn Beste Vriend. His commercial breakthrough album came in 2016 with Leef, and this opening track—in thrall to the pleasure-seeking spirit of 'carpe diem'—provides a window into the album's schlager sonic character.
