Even though Cole Swindell has written songs for many artists including Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, and Luke Bryan, when he heard the demo of "Single Saturday Night," he knew he had to record it. The song, written by Ashley Gorley, Michael Hardy, and Mark Holman tells the story of a guy who spent Saturday nights with in a bar with his buddies until a chance meeting with someone who would have him spending his last single Saturday night. Swindell says he was sold on the song as soon as he heard the red lips on a White Claw line. "Sitting over in the corner, baby, I saw / Pretty red lips working on a White Claw.” He was going to hold back the song for a future album but when his tour was postponed due to the Covid shutdown, he decided to release it early as a gift to his fans.
