After honing his craft in musicals, Daniel Boaventura kicked off his recording career in 2011, and the next year landed a lead role as Gomez Addams in the 2012 musical The Addams Family. With the release of his first full-length, the Brazilian actor and singer born Daniel do Rêgo Boaventura was able to show the world what his voice was made of. Songs 4 U (2011) was a gold-plated covers collection which took in filmic delights like "The Windmills of Your Mind" and a reimagining of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" as well as this delightfully jazzy, finger-snapping take on a Frank Sinatra classic—reportedly one of the first-ever songs to be played in space— "Fly Me to the Moon (In Other Words)." "Fly Me to the Moon," which was originally conceived as "In Other Words," was written by Bart Howard in 1954 and popularised by Frank Sinatra in 1964 whose definitive version became synonymous with the Apollo missions to the Moon.
