Festival staple “Fix You” is one of Coldplay’s signature tracks, reaching Number 4 on the UK Singles Chart in September 2005 and by July 30, 2011, having hung around on the chart for a whopping 122 weeks. The second single on the UK band’s third album X&Y, “Fix You” was written for frontman Chris Martin’s then-wife Gywneth Paltrow who was grieving the loss of her father. The enigmatic artist Fearless Soul, who also creates inspirational speeches, recorded a stripped-back cover version of “Fix You” for their Cover Sessions album in 2021. The song was used to soundtrack the ending of Season 4, episode 5 of US hit dystopian TV series The Handmaid's Tale – based on the 1985 novel by Margaret Atwood. Fearless Soul has also concocted covers of “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Crowded House, "Heroes (We Could Be)" by Alesso and “Only Love” by Jordan Smith.
