"Imported" is an introspective ballad by Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, first released on her 2018 EP, Being Human in Public. The song was written by Jessie Reyez with producer Hennedub and Jamaican singer Jaramye Daniels, who featured in the original version. Embodying an evocative amalgamation of R&B and pop, "Imported" explores the emotional struggles associated with rebound relationships and romantic dissatisfaction, showcasing Jessie Reyez's candid songwriting style. A remix version featuring American singer and rapper 6LACK was released on April 9, 2019, as the second single from her 2020 studio debut, Before Love Came to Kill Us. The remix entered several music charts, peaking at number 36 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and reaching Number 14 on the US R&B Songs chart. Shortly after its release, the song was certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales of over 1 million units. Before Love Came to Kill Us, its parent album, hit Number 13 on the Billboard 200 and Number 17 in her native Canada.
