John Fogerty – the guiding force behind Creedence Clearwater Revival; lead singer, lead guitarist and principal songwriter until the beloved band split in 1972 – and his three youngest children (Shane, Tyler, and Kelsy) proved that music runs in the family with the arrival of their new lockdown band, Fogerty's Factory's, formed during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The four-piece spent time at home during quarantine just rocking out to their famous dad's songbook of hits under the name Fogerty’s Factory moniker, and this cover of "Blueboy" is one of their collaborative creations. The track was originally featured on John Fogerty's fifth studio album, Blue Moon Swamp, which was released in May 1997 and is built from a swampy guitar lick and visions of rural life: "Way back in the hills / There's a place I know / People come from miles around / Just to watch 'ol Dooley do the show... "Soon the sun go down / That's when the fun begins / Hitch your wagon down the track / Up to the roadhouse and come on in."
