"Love Bites" is a song by Judas Priest from their ninth studio album Defenders of Faith. The album contains "Eat Me Alive," which ranked #3 on the Parents Music Resource Center's Filthy Fifteen. Guitarist K.K. Downing explained that singer Rob Halford's S&M lyrics were tongue in cheek. "Love Bites" didn't make that list but it contains a vampirish lusty lyric. "So come in my arms / I strike any hour / I will return / To trap and devour / In the dead of night love bites." In 1990, the band and CBS Records were sued $6.2 million after two young men killed themselves after listening to Judas Priest music. The band was charged with creating subliminal or hidden messages with phrases like "let's be dead" or "do it" but Halford was able to show that it wasn't a message but just the way he naturally exhaled at the end of phrases.
