Kelsea Ballerini has gone off the booze and she's feeling great about it. "You're the reason there's no whiskey anywhere inside this house / You're the reason all my friends know I don't go downtown / You're the reason I hate champagne, never used to turn it down / You're thе only thing I want when one drop hits my mouth / Baby, you're thе reason I quit drinking," goes the chorus. For "I Quit Drinking," which was produced by Jimmy Robbins & Noah Conrad, the US country singer-songwriter – who became the first female country artist to scoop three consecutive Number ones on a debut album (2015's The First Time) – teamed up with LA poppers Lany to craft an emotive duet doubling up as a meditation on sobriety. The song is featured on the self-titled third studio album from Kelsea Ballerini, which was released in March 2020 as the follow-up to her 2017 album Unapologetically.
