"Love Me Dead" is a song by the alternative rock band Ludo. It is the opening track on You're Awful, I Love You and lyrically follows that sentiment. Lead vocalist/guitarist Andrew Volpe has described the lust-hate lyrics as being inspired by a volatile relationship the band's drummer had with an ex. "And when her edges soften / Her body is my coffin / I know she drains me slowly / She wears me down to bones in bed / Must be the sign on my head / That says, oh, Love me dead!" The song is a fan favorite and their most successful song, charting at #8 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. It was used in promotional ads for the Fox TV series House in 2008. Ludo went on hiatus in 2012 but got back together in 2018 for a one-night-only concert celebrating the ten-year anniversary of You're Awful, I Love You.
