Having first stepped out in 1984, and still going strong following their 2000 reunion, Muscle Shoals country troupe Shenandoah are undisputed veterans of the country scene, with 26 Billboard Hot Country charting singles under their belt and several awards on their collective shelf, including a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. A refresh of the group's 1989 post-breakup anthem, "Two Dozen Roses" harks back to a time when Shenandoah were at the top of their game. This souped-up new version of the group's vintage hit—which evokes the art of romantic gestures ("If I had two dozen roses and an older bottle of wine / If I really could've hung the moon, would it change your mind?") and went to number one on the US Hot Country Songs chart in 1989—features the talents of one of country music's present-day superstars, Luke Combs. Written by Mac McAnally and Robert Byrne and released in 2023, "Two Dozen Roses" gave Shenandoah their first country number one in 30 years.
