Jason Derulo serves up a "Spicy Margarita" with a citrus-sharp bolero-mambo sample of "Sway" (made famous by Dean Martin) and a dash of Michael Bublé, who lends his croon to the Latin pop-infused track. In "Spicy Margarita," the popular Mexican cocktail is used as a metaphor for a fiery lover ("You're my spicy margarita, babe / Burn my tongue, make me shake / Mix it up or give it to me straight / Turn me on, make me say"). "Spicy Margarita" was co-written with a crack team of writers—including Jason Derulo and Michael Bublé—produced by Mac & Phil and Stryv. The song was released as a single from Jason Derulo's fifth studio album Nu King, which came out in February 2024 and tapped the likes of YoungBoy Never Broke Again, French Montana, Gucci Mane, Quavo, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Adam Levine, Alexandra Shipp, Dido, and Meghan Trainor for the 27-song ride. The LP cracked the US Billboard 200 at number 82.
