American country girl group Pistol Annies (consisting of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley) garnered a lot of attention with their 2011 debut Hell on Heels. Their move to seminal country music record label RCA Nashville meant that the group had to kick things up a notch, and that’s exactly what they did with their second album Annie Up, a collection of catchy and ferocious songs which highlight the members’ voices while pushing the bounds of country music. “I Feel a Sin Comin’ On,” a dark, slinky blues-infused country song, instantly became a fan favorite for its sense of dynamics and playfully foreboding sound. “I Feel a Sin Comin’ On” opens the album with aplomb.
