Opening with a whispered intro that becomes a buttery country-pop jewel, Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" earned the Canadian country star not one but Two Grammy Awards in 1999 for Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance. The track was released as a single in the US in January 1998 and grabbed the Number 2 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 where it remained for nine weeks, becoming Shania Twain's first top-ten hit in the US. Written by Shania Twain and Robert John "Mutt" Lange and produced by the latter, on "You're Still the One," the country star sings defiantly of the strong love between herself and her lover: "Looks like we made it / Look how far we've come my baby / We mighta took the long way / We knew we'd get there someday," she beams in the first verse. The song, which was was released as the third single from her third studio album Come On Over, (1997) is widely considered to be Shania Twain's most successful crossover country hit.
