The storied six marriages of English monarch Henry VIII are given a modern-day shake-up in the snappy British musical comedy from Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six. Taking the form of a pop concert, each of the six queens use the medium to argue their case for having endured the worst experience at the hands of their common husband Henry VIII, who notoriously ended up beheading two of his wives. In the musical, "Ex-Wives" introduces the queens and opens the show ("Welcome to the show, to the historemix / Switching up the flow as we add the prefix / Everybody knows that we used to be six wives / Raising up the roof till we hit the ceiling / Get ready for the truth that we'll be revealing"), cleverly twisting threads of the tale into a techno version of traditional English folk composition "Greensleeves", which is widely believed to have been commissioned on behalf of Henry VIII for his second wife Anne Boleyn.
