"Roadie" is a song by American comedy rock duo Tenacious D, the musical project of Hollywood actor and singer-songwriter, Jack Black. It was largely inspired by the comedian's involvement in the music action-adventure game Brütal Legend, in which he voiced the main character, a roadie named Eddie Riggs. Written by Kyle Gass and Jack Black, and produced by King Gizmo and John Kimbrough, the song is Tenacious D's tribute to the often-invisible figure of the roadie, an essential part of rock and roll touring culture. Even though it wasn't officially released as a single, "Roadie" did get an accompanying video starring actor Danny McBride that premiered on the comedy website Funny or Die in May 2012. "Roadie" was included as the sixth track on Tenacious D's third studio album Rize of the Fenix (2012), which topped Billboard's Top Rock Albums and Top Comedy Albums charts. It was also featured in the band's 2016 live LP Tenacious D Live.
