US funk and R&B brothers, George ("Lightnin' Licks") and late Louis E. Johnson ("Thunder Thumbs") aka The Brothers Johnson had one piece of friendly advice (repeated four times) on their 1976 gem: "Get the funk out ma face." They continue: "You don't like my music / You don't have to use it / Funkin' is a thing that all of us release / You don't have to get it / All you do is let it / Then you'll know exactly how to groove." The dance-loaded track, which was featured on the duo's sparkling debut, Quincy Jones-produced album Look Out For #1 – which hung around at the top of the US R&B album chart for the whole month of June in 1976 – hit Number 30 on the US Billboard 100. A gold-plated rap-led cover of "Get the Funk Out Ma Face" was recorded by Snoop Dogg and Quincy Jones and featured on Quincy Jones's 2010 studio album Q: Soul Bossa Nostra.

I wish you had gone with the single version as opposed to the album version. This version is extremely shortened and feels like your song is being cut off when you sing it.
