(The Boys Are) Back in Town - The BusBoys - MP3 instrumental karaoke

Most people hadn't heard of the BusBoys until they saw the Eddie Murphy/Nick Nolte blockbuster 48 Hours. The band’s energetic stage show was featured in a club scene as they performed "(The Boys Are) Back in Town." Although, their cinematic performance created an instant "Who is that band?" response, the BusBoys had already been a touring act and had released an album on Arista when their manager asked if they'd like to be in the film. Eddie Murphy was looking for a black band with a rock & roll edge. The producers liked one song they had and asked them to submit three more. Songwriter Kevin O'Neal said they came up with two and had one more idea they weren’t that happy with called “(The Boys Are) Back in Town.” That song ended up being the one the producers loved. The band served as the opening act for Eddie Murphy's wildly successful Delirious Tour and were guests with him on SNL.
