This hot-blooded rocker from Taylor Momsen and co. conjures a condemned 'witch' from the Salem Witch Trials, one who has been sent to her death after killing a man in an apparent act of defense. "Witches Burn" is featured on the fourth album from The Pretty Reckless – aka Taylor Momsen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ben Phillips (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass), and Jamie Perkins (drums) – which was called Death by Rock and Roll and came out in 2021 on their new label home of Fearless Records. The group were inspired to create the album following the tragic, untimely deaths of their friends Chris Cornell (who the band had been touring with just before his death) and long-time producer Kato Khandwala.
