Natalie Cole's rendition of "Don't Get Around Much Anymore", featured on her 1991 album Unforgettable...With Love, brings a smooth, jazz-infused interpretation of the Duke Ellington classic. Originally composed by Duke Ellington in 1940 with lyrics added by Bob Russell in 1942, the song became a jazz standard, and Natalie Cole's version showcases her vocal versatility, channeling both nostalgia and sophistication. The track, part of an album that pays homage to her father, Nat King Cole, fits seamlessly within the collection, blending her modern style with timeless jazz sensibilities. Musically, "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" balances Natalie Cole's rich, emotive vocals with a laid-back rhythm, creating a refined yet lively atmosphere. The album was critically acclaimed, and this track in particular helped solidify her legacy in jazz, as it climbed the jazz charts and received widespread airplay. This version stands as one of the many highlights from the Grammy-winning Unforgettable...With Love album.

Very nice track. The beginning woodwinds are a little loud, but overall the track is solid. Very close to original. Just performed it for a veterans group and they loved it.
