This simple yet highly effective ode to one of the world's oldest alcoholic beverages was concocted by comedy metal band and self-styled "humorcore" disruptors Psychostick who hail from Tempe, Arizona and douse their thrashy metal numbers with plenty of flammable silliness—before lighting a match. With 2003 track "Beer!"—featured on their debut album We Couldn't Think of a Title— there's not a lot to unpack. The tune serves up a frothy cup of quirky sing-speak-meets-explosive metal freakouts and was originally written as a joke. Psychostick's lead singer Rob Kersey even admitted to writing "Beer!" in 15 minutes while he was "bored at work. But it turned out so funny that we did decide to start playing it live, and it ended up being our first hit," he said.
