"Blame It on the Boom Boom" is a song from Black Stone Cherry's third studio album, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (2011). It was written by band members Chris Robertson, Ben Wells, Jon Lawhon, and John Fred Young, and produced by Howard Benson. "Blame It on the Boom Boom" was released as the album's second single in July 2011 and reached Number 24 on the Billboard US Mainstream Rock chart. Even though it wasn't the album's most popular track, "Blame It on the Boom Boom" quickly became both a fan favorite and a staple of the band's live performances, with the crowd requesting it on a regular basis. The song features ambiguous lyrics with sexual undertones and Black Stone Cherry's trademark combination of downtuned, distorted guitars and massive drum sounds. Shortly after being released, "Blame It on the Boom Boom" made an appearance in the 2011 action thriller film, Abduction.
