Gloria is a name that has inspired several different hit songs. Van Morrison had a hit with “Gloria” in 1964. His garage rock classic contains the title spelled out in a defiant G-L-O-R-I-A chorus. In 1982 Laura Branigan topped the charts and filled the dance floors with another “Gloria” song, a disco classic that became her platinum-selling signature song. But this backing track is for "Gloria" by the R&B band Enchantment. The group got their start in the 60s at Detroit's Pershing High School. The song features the beautiful falsetto of lead vocalist Emanuel "EJ" Johnson. Johnson co-wrote the song with their producer Michael Stokes. Enchantment's "Gloria" is from their eponomous debut album released in 1976. The group had several other charted songs, including "Sunshine" and "It's You That I Need."
The backing track for "Gloria" is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
