Pull up a chair and get comfortable–Funkadelic are about to take you on a deep 15-minute odyssey through the uniquely funky wonderland of "(Not Just) Knee Deep)". Featured on Side 1 of Funkadelic's classic 1979 album Uncle Jam Wants You, this stone-cold funk earworm depicts the beginning of a blossoming romance. Guy meets girl. Girl dances "the freak." Guy falls head over heels in love. "(Not Just) Knee Deep"—which features vocals from Philippe Wynne, who was the lead singer of The Spinners until 1977 and a member of the P-Funk collective—only peaked at number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 but topped the US R&B charts in 1979 and is unrivalled in its funkiness, famously sampled by De La Soul on 1989's "Me, Myself & I" and everyone from 2Pac ("Can't C Me") and Ice Cube to the Black Eyed Peas (on "Shut the Phunk Up") and EPMD ("Gold Digger"). South Korean girl band Mamamoo also drew influence from the song for their third mini-album Pink Funky.

Parliament funkadelic George clinton is in the rock and roll hall of fame and it's about time that karaoke made their best songs available to perform. Thank you.

Waited all my life for this one. George Clinton and the parliament funkadelic are in the rock and roll hall of Fame but barely have any songs available on karaoke
