American pop singer Alecia Moore, better known to the world as Pink, released her ninth studio album Trustfall on February 17, 2023. She began teasing the album in late 2022 when she unveiled its lead single "Never Gonna Not Dance Again." Decidedly more dance-oriented than her previous material, the single offered a glimpse into Pink's new musical direction. Named after a team-building exercise intended to build trust and communications between its members, the album's title track was released as a single on January 27, 2023. It was written by Pink with Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid and Fred Again, and produced by the latter two. The song takes the album's dance music influences a step further, with a propulsive EDM beat that reaches its climax during the chorus while the singer encourages listeners to take a leap of faith to live their best lives. "Trustfall" reached Number 5 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and Number 19 in Australia, where it was certified Gold for sales of over 35,000 copies.
