Melbourne group The Teskey Brothers were formed in 2008 by brothers Josh Teskey (vocals) and Sam Teskey (guitar), along with Brendon Love (bass) and Liam Gough (drums) and have since earned multiple awards and drawn acclaim for their pristine works of modern bluesy-soul such as 2019's Run Home Slow. Featured on said album, "So Caught Up" captures the sound of 21st-century soul in stunning, seamless fashion. "’Cause I’m so caught up / I'm so caught up on you," sings Josh Teskey for a simple yet hooky chorus, doubling down on his interest in the song's protagonist. Sonically, this brass-brightened track is reminiscent of classic soul sounds while the backing vocalists add a gospel feel. Meanwhile, Run Home Slow was decorated with multiple accolades at Australia's ARIA Music Awards of 2019, nominated for seven gongs in total and ultimately picking up three: Engineer of the Year, Best Group, and Best Blues and Roots Album.

Amazing musicians with a SOULFul sound. Love, Josh Teskey voice. Reminds of of the Stax Records soul sound...like Otis Redding etc. Lead vocalist, kudos on the cover version. Wow! I'm so impressed. Thank you, Karaoke Version. 9.29.2023.
