Martina McBride floated all the way to the top of the Billboard Country chart with her country-tinted take on "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!," which was featured on her White Christmas album – the fifth album and first Christmas LP from the country star. "Oh, the weather outside is frightful / But the fire is so delightful," she sings, firing up the classic opening lines. "And since we've no place to go / Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!," she sings. "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!", also known by its shorter title of "Let It Snow," was written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in July 1945 during a California heatwave as the pair dreamed of cooler weather. First released in September 1999, Martina McBride's White Christmas album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in November 1999 then Platinum by the RIAA in November 2003.
